Graduating seniors who intend on studying the arts at an accredited college or university are eligible to apply for a White Salmon Arts Council scholarship grant of up to $2,000. Applications can be obtained from the White Salmon Arts Council website, through the scholarship program at the applicant’s high school, or by emailing   info@WhiteSalmonArts.org.

Applicants can be public, private, parochial, or homeschool students living within the boundaries of the White Salmon Valley, Lyle, Klickitat, Glenwood, or Trout Lake school districts.The due date for submission of applications for 2012 is April 30. The scholarship grants will be announced at the end of May or first part of June 2012.

The new annual scholarship will help foster the mission of the White Salmon Arts Council to develop and promote artists and the arts through educational opportunities.  The White Salmon arts Council is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization whose signature fund raising event, the annual Art & Wine Fusion festival in downtown White Salmon on the third Saturday in July helps fund our scholarship and other community programs.

White Salmon Arts Council and Wind River Cellars Winery are sponsoring the 1st White Salmon Artists Studios Open House on Saturday, May 21, 2011, from 10am to 5pm. 

This event will provide the public and other artists an opportunity to visit the galleries and studios of local White Salmon artists. Opening these workspaces will give everyone a unique chance to view, ask questions, and purchase works directly from the artists.

Attention All Gorge Artists! It’s time for the 7th Annual "Nights in White Salmon" Art and Wine Fusion Poster Competition.

We’re looking for poster artwork that reflects the White Salmon community and the spirit of the Art & Wine Fusion event, a celebration of local ART, ARTISTS, WINE and MUSIC. Keep in mind that the design needs to translate well in print and online advertising, so keep it simple.

Size: Minimum 8-1/2" x 11"  

Prize: $250 cash
