For six years the "Nights in White Salmon" Art & Wine Fusion has been one of the premier summer events in the Columbia River Gorge, and we plan to make it even better in 2011.

This free event will be a fun-filled evening of exciting, family-friendly activities, great local food, renowned local entertainment, top-notch local artists displaying their art throughout the town, award-winning winemakers offering tastings of their incredible local wines, and all the warmth and beauty of an early summer evening in the Gorge.

When: Saturday, July 16, 3-10pm

Where: Jewett Blvd (SR-141) in Downtown White Salmon

Who: Artists, vintners, chefs, musicians, crafts people, musicians, entertainers, and well over 1000 visitors and guests.

What: A relaxed, small town event with a major festival atmosphere that celebrates the glorious art, wine, food and summer in our unique part of the Columbia River Gorge. We feature carefully chosen, highest quality local art and artists, wines and winemakers, foods, and activities that reflect our unique, unequaled region.

Downtown White Salmon will be transformed to a car-free, lively Street Fair where you can leisurely enjoy:

• 30+ local artists and craftspeople offering unique, locally-made art and quality crafts.
• Award-winning local wines and beers. Sip extraordinary tastings of 22+ great regional wines and beers offered by master winemakers and brewers in two tents and select shops.
• Salmon Cook-Off. Prepare your taste buds for a bounty of salmon creations by renowned restaurateurs and caterers..
• Popular Music. Boogie, jam or just stroll to the beat of 5 popular regional bands performing all evening long.
• Local food. Fabulous restaurants and caterers will offer their unique creations in top quality mouth-watering bits, bites and full meals.
• Shops, galleries, and businesses will host other local art and provide opportunities for meeting the artists as they present their works and demonstrate their techniques.
• Family-Fun Bike Ride. A short but wickedly demanding bike ride up Dock Grade into town, with a welcome, refreshing finish at Everybody's beer garden.
• Kid-friendly activities. A popular kid’s dress-up parade, fun potato stamps, balloon-animals, street chalk art, and more in a kid-safe, kid-friendly environment.

The fun kicks off at 3:00 pm, just as the nearby, popular Trout Lake Art Festival is about to wind down for the day, and the street party continues until 10:00 pm.  Local hotels will offer lodging packages with gift baskets, Art & Wine Fusion tickets, and  comfortable accommodations right in the neighborhood.  So plan your weekend around the best art, wine, music, and food you’ll find in the Gorge.
